Understanding the Translation Job Statuses
Once you click "Authorize Job," your content starts its journey through the your pre-defined translation workflow. We believe in total transparency, so here is a quick guide to the statuses you'll see in your Jobs Dashboard and what they mean for you.
| Status | What It Means | Your Next Step |
| Draft / Awaiting Authorization | You've started a request but haven't given the final green light (clicked "Authorize Job"). No work has started yet. | Go back into the job, review the details and cost, and click Authorize to begin the process. |
| In Progress | Our professional linguists are actively working on your content. The translation process is underway! | No action needed. This is a good time to check the expected delivery date you saw upon authorization. |
| Completed | The translation process is finished, and the translated files are ready for you to download! | This status means the content is ready, but the job is not formally finished. If you are happy, click the "..." under Action and choose Close Job. |
| Closed | You (the client) have formally approved the final translated files, and the job is locked. This is the official end of the project lifecycle. | No action needed. This is the status required if you need to request a Translation Certificate. |
| Cancelled |
The job has been stopped and removed from the active translation workflow. This happens if you cancel the request manually. |
No action needed. If you want to tidy up your view, you can delete the cancelled job from your dashboard. Important Note: This action cannot be undone, so be sure you won't need the request later! A Quick Word on Costs: You can cancel a job at any time from your dashboard. However, as soon as a job is Authorized, our linguists have access to begin their work. If you cancel an active job, you will be billed for any translation work that has already been saved or submitted up to that moment. |
